You see things; and you say, 'Why?' But I dream things that never were; and I say, "Why not?"
I'm a mother and wife, whether I'm at home or not. I love my job and my career because I get to be creative every day and I get to travel just enough.
I'm a Tarheel, a Christian, a Southerner, a Pink Pacer, a marketer and a jack-of-all-trades.
My hobbies are many, my friendships are abundant, my family is everything and my son is the light of my life.
I live in North Carolina and love the south. I decided to call this blog "A Southern Accent" because I do get so many comments on my accent (always from people that aren't from around these parts) and because not until I grew up and interacted with people from other areas of the country and world did I realize how different things are here in the south. For example, some people have never tasted grits and have never had fried okra. Don't even get me started on sweet tea. For me, the south is a way of life with a style like no other and I hope I can share some of that with my readers.
I started this blog as a way to focus my creative spirit and it's been a blast! I hope you have as much fun here as I do. Thanks for stopping by!
